Paul
gained a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury in
1985. Over the next nine years he held a number of senior management roles
in both finance and banking, primarily focusing on foreign exchange and
money markets.
Paul
began his career during one of the busiest periods in the New Zealand
financial market's history. Not only was there deregulation of world
markets, but more importantly, deregulation of New Zealand's financial
markets and its economy, with the ensuing impact on people's lives. This
experience was to be of considerable help later on in Paul's role as a
financial planner.
'Hands-on' experience as a senior corporate dealer with the State Bank of
South Australia provided an excellent base for a move into financial
planning. In September 1993, Paul joined IPD Securities as a financial
planner and continued with NZFP's Auckland office when NZFP and IPD merged
their operations in 1996.
Since
then, Paul has continued to build a successful practice and enjoys working
with his business colleagues in a team environment. Most importantly, he is
rewarded by helping his clients create and protect wealth so they can
achieve financial security and enjoy the lifestyle they choose.
Paul
enjoys all sports, especially tennis, though his quality of play doesn't
always match the strength of his passion.
Paul
and his wife have a son and live in Central Auckland.
