Life after work
Retirement is being radically redefined.
Babyboomers will age like no other generation have before us: we will be working longer, either full or part time or see reaching retirement as an opportunity to switch careers and work in a completely different way.
We're going to be looking younger and feeling it too because of better healthcare, and we're going to live longer. The average life expectancy is climbing, and has now reached 85 which means more of us will spend longer in retirement.
Your experience of life up until now may have taught you that no one else really cares about your fundamental quality of life, but working with us will change that. Our business has been built upon looking after successful people like you and helping you manage the things that concern you. As your financial planner, it's our role to see you realise your hopes for the future and help mitigate any risks you may face. We take that responsibility very seriously. So as part of our relationship with you, we'll ask you to share your dreams with us. Then we'll draw up a plan to show how these can be realised in your timeframe.
To give you clarity and confidence in freeing you up to enjoy the rest of your lives, it will also cover issues like:
- How long do you want to stay working?
- Do you plan to fulfill a lifelong dream once you retire?
- Will the mortgage be paid off by then?
- Do you expect to retire with any debt?
- Will you have any dependants?
- How long do you expect to be retired?
- Do you plan to stay in your current home or would you like to move somewhere else?
- How do you expect to fill your days?
- Who do you expect to spend your time with?
- How good is your health?
- How much do you want to travel?
